ViaTurpico was founded in 1998 by a local team linked to the tourist development of Pico, with the aim of providing rent-a-car services and other valences associated with tourism. The activity started with car rental through Oásis Rent-a-Car and, over time, has been complemented with new areas, such as the rental of leisure nautical equipment through Nauti-rent and, later, tourist accommodation in rural space with the HouseSinPico project.

In the car rental sector, Oásis Rent-a-Car operates its own offices at the main entry points to Pico Island. In São Roque, operations are located on Regional Road 91, while in Madalena there is an office on Rua Dr. Freitas Pimentel, as well as a presence at the respective maritime terminal, ensuring support for those arriving by sea. We also provide pick-up and drop-off services at the São Roque maritime terminal and at Pico Airport, facilitating the mobility of passengers arriving by air.
